TIKKA CHICKEN BURGER
Recipe for a delicious Tikka Chicken Burger .
Ingredients:
500g boneless chicken breast, cut into chunks
4 burger buns
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons tikka masala paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin powder
Salt to taste
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Lettuce leaves
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced onions
Sliced cheese (optional)
Olive oil for cooking
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, tikka masala paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, paprika, cumin powder, and salt. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Cook the Chicken: Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease it with olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice charred exterior.
Toast the Buns: While the chicken is cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a separate pan until they are golden brown.
Assemble the Burger: Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayo. Then, add a cooked chicken piece on each bun. If using cheese, place a slice on top of the chicken while it's still hot so it melts slightly. Top with sliced tomatoes and onions.
Extra Mayo: Spread another tablespoon of mayonnaise on the top half of each bun for extra creaminess.
Serve: Close the burgers with the top half of the buns. Serve the Tikka Chicken Burgers immediately while they're still warm, with your favorite sides like fries or coleslaw.
