bacon cheeseburgers
Cheese burger.
Ingredients:
Ground beef (preferably 80% lean, 20% fat)
Salt and pepper
Hamburger buns
Cheese slices (common choices include cheddar, American, Swiss, or your favorite cheese)
Toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.)
Instructions:
Prepare the Patties:
Take the ground beef and shape it into burger patties. You can typically make patties that are around 1/3 to 1/2 pound each, depending on your preference.
Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper. You can also add other seasonings according to your taste.
Cook the Patties:
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium doneness. Adjust the time based on your desired level of doneness.
Add Cheese:
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty.
If you're using a grill, you can close the lid briefly to help the cheese melt.
Toast the Buns:
While the patties are cooking, cut the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster.
Assemble the Burger:
Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the bun.
Add your desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve:
Your cheeseburger is now ready to be served!
