bacon cheeseburgers

Bacon Burger

.

Ingredients:

Ground beef (preferably 80% lean, 20% fat)
Bacon strips
Hamburger buns
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Cheese slices (optional)
Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and condiments of your choice (for toppings)

Instructions:

Prepare the Bacon:

Cook bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until they are crispy. Remove excess grease by placing the cooked bacon on paper towels.

Form the Burger Patties:

Divide the ground beef into equal portions, depending on how many burgers you want to make.
Form each portion into a patty, making sure they are slightly larger than the diameter of the hamburger buns to account for shrinkage during cooking.
Season both sides of each patty with salt and pepper.

Cook the Burger Patties:

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook the burger patties to your desired level of doneness. For medium burgers, cook for about 4-5 minutes per side. Adjust the time based on your preference.
Optional: Add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.

Assemble the Burger:

Toast the hamburger buns on the skillet or grill until they are lightly browned.
Place a cooked burger patty on the bottom half of each bun.
Add bacon strips on top of the patty.
Layer with your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles.

Add Condiments:

Spread your preferred condiments on the top half of the bun. This could include ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, or any other sauces you enjoy.

Put It All Together:

Place the top half of the bun with condiments on top of the assembled toppings.

Serve and Enjoy:

Serve your bacon burgers immediately while they're hot and enjoy with your favorite side dishes.
